What a great day! Thanks so much to everyone who came out to support the cause, and especially to our AWESOME fundraising teams. We raised over $20,000 for lung cancer awareness, education and patient support, all of which stays right here in the Triad!

We have a fun-filled day planned for you! We are very grateful to WMFY Meteorologist Leigh Brock who will be the emcee for the Hope Lung Cancer 5K! Sound Connections, DJs for All Occasions will be providing music to get you pumped up! We'll have balloons for the kids, and the memorial balloon release from the Dusty Joy Foundation to recognize all the local lives touched by lung cancer is always a big crowd-pleaser. We will announce the winning fundraising team at the Hope Lung Cancer 5K. The winning team will get a Pizza Party in November compliments of Whole Foods! The cutoff for the winner is Saturday at 5:00 am! But the fundraising campaign will continue throughout November! Also, any individual who donates or raises $500 will receive a custom embroidered hoodie! (You will have through the month of November to fundraising $500 and receive the hoodie.) Be sure to bring a little cash with you on race day! We will be selling raffle tickets and lung cancer earrings. Also, this is a fundraising charity event, so we appreciate your donations! It's all for a great cause!

Fleet Feet is hosting early packet pick up from 4 pm until 7 pm Friday! Come on out and get your Hope 5K long-sleeve, navy blue t-shirt, goody bag and race bib early! Fleet Feet is at 50-G Miller Street, right across the street from Whole Foods (where the Master's Loft used to be). Have a friend who hasn't registered? Tell them to come out and register Friday evening at Fleet Feet. We ordered 500 participant t-shirts. We have about 325 registrants so far. The sooner you register the better your chance of receiving a t-shirt. These are very nice long-sleeve, navy blue technical t-shirts. It's not too late to register! Tell your friends!
